“Even the greatest was once a beginner. Don’t be afraid to take that first step.” —Muhammad Ali
The procrastination stops today!
Over the past five years, I have been contemplating starting a blog to share my lived experiences and improve my writing skills in the process.
I have read many blogs, articles, and books about the benefits of blogging and the success stories of many individuals who have achieved success with their blogs (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Gary Vanyerchuk, and Seth Goden).
Now, it is my turn to write about what is happening in my life.
So, what will I write about?
I can write about the 21 years of lived experience from my service in the United States Army. I can write about my travels to Afghanistan, Germany, Mauritania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Oman, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai).
I can write about my transition from the military to the civilian workforce. I can write about success and lessons learned from my entrepreneurship endeavors. I can write about my love for photography and filmmaking. I can write about pursuing my Masters of Art in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University.
Or, I can write about my current journey at Colorado Technical University, where I am pursuing a Doctor of Management degree with a concentration in Executive Leadership.
As you can see, there is a lot that I can write about.
But it requires that I start now.
